Memory Lane – Demo Day Taxus Cuspidata
The first picture shows how the tree started out on one of our Demo Day lectures in 2010. Quite a raw material bush…..originally imported from Japan and now growing vigorously.
The remaining pictures allow us to take a look at the tree’s progress in September 2013. The live veins were becoming stronger and clearer all the time so that the shari could be extended.
Yet more deadwood is created and the tree is then thoroughly cleaned prior to the application of lime sulphur. The contrast at the end between the green foliage, the red bark and the white deadwood is simply stunning.
What a transformation in three years!!!……..
