July Workshop – Formal Black Pine Posted on August 7, 2019 by John Hanby A very nice formal Black Pine generally growing in equilibrium but some of the branches have extended too far and some have become “leggy”. The tree after some extensive pruning and thinning out. It is now ready for a rewire hopefully over the coming winter. The pruning back and allowing more light into the tree will hopefully help all the abundant back budding to develop further. The condition of this inner budding will determine the best time to carry out the rewiring.
